Gurnee, IL, November 19 – Stephen Foran impressed the clinicians and judges during the USHJA Emerging Athletes National Training Session, presented by Dover Saddlery, November 15 through 18, and earned top honors riding IJF Graduate Allegience (ex. Etienne B, 2004 BWP g. Simsalabim x Concorde, bred in USA by Bannockburn Farm LLC)
After the Nations Cup concluded the final day, four riders were asked to contest the jump-off course as a final ride-off for the placings—Foran, Ana Forssell, Ashlyn Matheus and Katie Lynch. Each rider received an unfamiliar horse from among those in the pool and had a short warm-up before tackling the course, where they were judged on their skill, style, adaptability and promptness.
“I was incredibly impressed with virtually everything Stephen did in the ring and in the stable,” said show jumping Olympic gold medalist and lead clinician Peter Wylde. “He was a convincing winner from start to finish.”

Westin focuses on helping a horse find its best niche in the jumpers, hunter and equitation disciplines, and also works with dressage horses that may be ready to take the leap into the jumper ring and change careers. This led the training business to expand into sales and consignment. She feels time is of the essence – spending quality time.

The Spy Coast Farm CSI 3*-W “Breeding” week will run February 8-12, 2012 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, FL.
