Littlestown, Pa. June 17th,2012. The 7th Annual PJA Grand Prix was once again the featured event of the PJA Classics two day all jumper show held at the beautiful Swan Lake show grounds. The weather was perfect, and course designer Doug Russell of Ocala, Fla. set a demanding track of 15 jumping efforts. There was one double and one triple combination, but the real culprit was the time allowed.

Seventeen riders took on the challenge and when the dust settled it was Devin Ryan riding his own Calissandro with the only fault free ride of the day. The newly married Alden Moylan in just her 2nd Grand Prix came close to forcing a jump off but finished with 2 time faults for second place.

Three other riders also jumped the course clear but incurred time faults, Bryn Sadler on Bon Giorno 4 time faults, Derek Reed on Chino and Adam Cramer on Marmaduke each with 5 time faults. This was the second year in a row that Devin has won the Grand Prix, last year with No Worries and this year with his on Calissandro who is by Conejo. Calissandro is an 8 year old that Devin has started as a 4yr old and brought him along through the Young Jumper’s, Devin said ” your horses get to know you and trust you when you start them young” , and he attributes his success to this winning formula.
